Alison Heppelstone - Skin Coach Facialist

Alison has over 20 years experience in the beauty industry and prides herself on providing a professional, friendly and relaxed service.

Alison launched first salon Escape Beauty in 2000 in Gomersal which was open for 10 years. This is where she gained a loyal client base, many of whom she still sees today. She moved her salon in 2008 to Cleckheaton where she balanced motherhood with running a business then joined forces in 2011 and opened Pure Escape Spa.

After many years of running her own business she decided to try other avenues in the industry and worked as a Business Development Manager for companies such as St Tropez and HD Brows. Gaining experience in the sales side of the industry as well as gaining a Level 3 qualification in teaching. Alison most recently worked as an Advanced Skin Trainer for a skin company and became an expert in her field.

Alison’s passion is skin, sharing her knowledge and educating her clients on the understanding of their skin and concerns.  Her aim is to give inner confidence to her clients. She believes you can achieve long term results without going down a surgical or invasive route.

It’s not just about the treatments but to understand the importance of looking after your skin with a results driven skincare brand. She chose the derma-cosmeceutical brand Nimue as she loved the philosophy of the brand and how simple it is to understand with the different phases. Alison works with her clients to create a bespoke plan to achieve their skin goals. Discussing current skin care, lifestyles, skin challenges and aims. Clients have become more skin savvy and look for treatments that give results rather than just a ‘pamper’ - her aim to is offer both! A results driven skin treatment with the experience of a spa treatment.  Education is really important to her and that’s where the name Skin Coach came from!

Alison listened to an amazing book called ‘The Universe has your back‘ by Gabby Bernstein. One of the chapters is about choosing a sign to know you are on the right path. She spent time meditating and reading to help with healing after losing her beloved dad. She set her intentions and decided to choose a peacock. 10 months later a peacock turned up outside her house the day she was made redundant from her role. It really put faith in knowing the vibrational energy you put out returns back. She knew going back to opening her own business and working on her passion was the right step. The branding is very personal.

During this time Alison also qualified as an NLP practitioner and breakthrough coach. NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming and is about how the unconscious mind works depending on beliefs and values.
